MacKree isn't in the App Store yet. It installs through TestFlight, a free app from Apple for trying apps before release.
First, install TestFlight.
On your iPhone, open the App Store, search for TestFlight, and tap Get. Do this step first — the next step won't work without it.
Open Mike's invite email on your iPhone (not on a computer).
Tap the blue View in TestFlight button.
TestFlight opens and shows MacKree.
Tap Accept, then tap Install.
MacKree is now on your home screen with a small orange dot next to the name. That's normal — it just means it came from TestFlight.
If the button in step 2 doesn't work: open TestFlight, tap Redeem in the top corner, and type the code from Mike's email.
If you tapped the email before installing TestFlight: that's okay. Install TestFlight, then go back to the email and tap the button again.
If anything else goes wrong: text Mike. Don't delete anything.
| What happened | What to do |
|---|---|
| No notification came | Settings → Notifications → MacKree → make sure Allow Notifications is on. Then text Mike. |
| It signed me out after an update | It shouldn't. Sign back in with your Apple account; everything is still there. Then text Mike so he can fix it. |
| I deleted the app by accident | Reinstall from TestFlight (open TestFlight, tap Install next to MacKree). Sign in again. Everything is still there. |
| The invite link didn't work | Make sure MacKree is installed first (see above), then tap the link again. |
| Something else | [email protected] or text Mike. We answer within a day. |
